About the Houston-Galveston Area's Clean Vehicles Program

The primary goal of the Houston-Galveston Area Council's (H-GAC) Clean Vehicles Program is to reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), volatile organic compounds (VOC) and particulate matter (PM) emissions. Funding is available to offset costs of projects that reduce these pollutants from on-road mobile sources within the Houston-Galveston ozone non-attainment area. The non-attainment area includes: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend , Galveston , Harris, Liberty , Montgomery and Waller counties.
