DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Mayor Turner\, City of Houston\, and electrification leaders \n  \nAbout this Event \nIn Houston’s first Climate Action Plan\, Mayor Sylvester Turner has called for bold action to minimize the carbon footprint of the “Energy Capital of the World.” With nearly half of Houston’s emissions coming from transportation\, EVolve Houston\, a public-private-partnership focused on electrified transportation was formed to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in the Greater Houston Area\, with the goal of improving air quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. \n  \nFeatured Speakers: \nMayor Sylvester Turner \nScott Prochazka\, President & CEO\, CenterPoint Energy \nDr. Renu Khator\, President\, University of Houston \nMauricio Gutierrez\, President & Chief Executive Officer\, NRG Energy \nJason Klein\, Vice President\, US Energy Transition Strategy\, Shell \nRyan Martin\, Partner\, LDR \nChris George\, Executive Director\, EVolve Houston \n  \nTransportation to the CenterPoint Energy Tower can be accessed using METRO’s Greenlink and METRORail lines\, among other route options. \n  \nThis event is FREE to the public\, and open to all ages.
